You've done a great job of capturing the emotion that Nelson Mandela most likely felt in his prison cell - alone, sad and missing his whanau. I'm sure it was a very difficult time for him, but I am so glad he made it out in the end! He must have been extremely happy and relieved when he did.
I wonder if he did keep a diary when he was in prison. I think it would have helped me, if I was there. Do you think he did?
