Title: Recount writing

WALT add more detail in our writing.
At the pools
On a lovely sunny Saturday evening my family and my cousin Tautari and I went to the pools in Auckland.
We travelled in a car. It took a long time to get to the pools.
First Tautari and I ran to the pool. It was nice and cool. Tautari and I were the only ones that went down the slide. Everyone just had a swim in the pool. It was sunny. It was cool going down the slide.
Then it got cold for Tautari and I.
So we got out of the cold pools and ran to the hot spa pool.
I said, “Ohhhhh this is so nice Tautari.”
Tautari said, “Yes this is lovely and warm.”
We stayed in the spa pool soaking for a long time. We were waiting until my Mum and Tekaihaapai were ready. They were in the warm pool paddling around.

It was wonderful at the Auckland pools.

Marae Noho

Marae Noho

03/7/18 WALT write a recount that informs and entertains your reader.                                              Title: Our marae noho

Last thursday on a wet cloudy, rainy, windy morning. Rooms 3, 4 and 5, went on a
noho at kohewhata marae. Other people that came to support us were teachers
and parents. How we traveled to the marae was from the magic school bus.

What we did first was all the helpers were stacking the bags 1 by 1. Then I walked
through a cold, icy, puddle as whaea mary gave us a powhiri into the marea. Papa
vic was the guy who did the karakia then Whaea mary was the one that did the
himine and sonny did the mihi. After all that it was morning tea.
At morning tea we ate our own lunch.

Then we got into 5 groups without the year eights because they had to cook
dinner
I was wondering what it was gonna be. After that each group did two activates each

before lunch I was in group two. First we had whaea gaylen in my opinion she had
the best job and what group two made with whaea gaylen was a koauau. A koauau
is something you put your lips on and blow lightly and it will make a noise. Next we
had whaea chanella what group two was making with her was headbands.

After all It was lunch and again we had our own lunch. When lunch was finished we
were not allowed in to play outside and straight after that we did two more
activates for the day.
The next activate we did was our tukutuku panels now this was a bit tricky for
me because i've never done it  and never seen anyone do it. But it turned out that I
was pretty good at it. So moving on to star gazing this activate was pretty cool
after we learn about all of the Matariki stars we went on the ipads and looked
for all the big stars. FINALLY the dinner was ready what we had for dinner was
beautiful shepards pie with the best ever cabbage and the lovely plum pie with
custard and cookie cream ice-cream. Man i'll tell you now that cabbage was so
good I had some for breakfast

Conclusion After that I would go back in to that day if I could just to eat that dinner
again and trust me you would to.

THE END
