I think we should play Sport every day.

Firstly I think we should play Sport every day because when we are running we are getting fit.

Secondly I think we should play Sport every day because you can learn heaps of tricks like passing the ball to your teammate.

Another reason why I think we should play Sport every day is because we will work as a team.

Lastly I think we should play Sport every day because we learn to listen to Matua Matt when he is talking.

So that’s why I think we should play Sport every day.

We should do homework every night.

I think we should do homework every night.

First I think I should do homework every night because it helps me to learn and achieve my learning goals by practising my learning.

Secondly I think we should do homework every night because it helps us to learn.

Another reason why I think we should do homework every night is because we can spend 1 on 1 time with our nans.

Lastly I think we should do homework every night because when you learn your homework at home you are learning your words off by heart.

So that’s why we should do our homework every night.

Recount Writing-At the tangi.

                          At the tangi

On Wednesday afternoon my family and I went to Whaea

 Dawnette's tangi. I thought it was so sad.

First my mum went to try to find Nana Ma in the kitchen. Nana Ma was washing the dishes in the kitchen.

Next Naki came out of the marae then Naki asked me if I want to have a race at the back of the marae.
I beat Naki. I felt happy and glad. Then my mum and my Nana went to make the bed for Nana, Naki and I. Then Andy and I went on  his chromebook and watched the dragons 2. The movie made me cry because the movie was so sad. After that Naki, Konrad and I went back into the marae again. Then Konrad had to say his name and Naki and I had to say our name too. I was so shy but Naki was not shy. Then some  manuhiri came to the tangi. The Nanas were crying because my Nana passed away. Finally me and Naki went back into the van for a sleep because we were so getting sleepy.

We should drink water every day

Have you ever been thirsty? I have and the best thing to drink is water and here is why.

Firstly I think we should drink water every day because We won’t get a dry mouth and your body does dry up.

Secondly I think we should drink water every day because so we Keep drying water it is so healthy.

Another reason why I think we should drink water every day is because I found out that water keeps your skin looking healthy, Also did you know that when you don't or stop drinking water you get hydrated.

Lastly I think we should drink water every day because water is very healthy and it makes you grow tall and strong.

So that’s why I think we should drink water.

Kapahaka is important to learn.

I think that kapahaka is important to learn.

Firstly I think kapahaka is important because kapahaka helps us to learn Te Reo Maori  when we sing the words.

Secondly I think kapahaka is important because we learn how to keep in the beat with the actions and takahia.

Another reason why I think kapahaka is important is because we learn to sing in tune.

Lastly I think kapahaka is important because it makes us sing in the right time.

So that’s why I think kapahaka is important.

At kapa haka

                                At Kapa haka

On Saturday afternoon my mum, my brother and I went to kapa haka at Okaihau College because my mum helps the Okaihau College kapahaka group.

They really need to practice the haka, the haka powhiri and the poi. I felt happy and excited.

When my family and I got to kapa haka I saw heaps of people. They were playing in the gym. Some were playing handball and some were playing shoots.

First I played with Tyla and Piimiroa. We played shoots. I got Tyla and Piimiroa out heaps of times. I felt great. Next Tyla  Piimiroa and I played handball. It was fun because I was in the kings square heaps of times. I got them out. I felt great and amazing.

After that the kapa haka people had a break.
