Matariki Star

We were weaving a Matariki star with coloured paper.

We had to follow insrtuctions very carefully.

It was pretty hard but here is a photo of my finished star.

Tornadoes

Today we were doing an experiment about how to make your house stronger from tornadoes.

WALT create a pattern with one line of symmetry.

Success criteria: 

Our butterfly will look the same (identical) on both sides.

We can check by using a mirror.

 I folded the paper down the middle.

I cut from the fold to make the shape of half  a butterfly.

I tried cutting out some other pieces to make a pattern.

I coloured my butterfly so each of them matches.

I took a photo to put on my blog.

I write my WALT Success Criteria and what I did.
